Monetary Award Program (Undergraduate)

  • The college is approved for the State of IL Monetary Award Program (MAP), which is administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. 
  • The grant is need-based. 
  • The maximum award for 2009/2010 is $4,968 (Awards are subject to Illinois General Assembly approval). 
  • All awards are paid directly to the college and must be applied toward tuition and mandatory fees only. 
  • A federal aid need analysis form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be filed for eligibility to be determined. (Effective Fall 2004, MAP awards will be calculated using credit hours of MAP benefits paid.)


Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (Graduate)

  • The Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (NESP) is a new scholarship opportunity available for graduate students which is administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.  This program is designed to attract students to the nursing educator profession in Illinois.  
  • All awards are paid directly to the college and must be applied toward tuition and mandatory fees only.   In addition, a student could receive a living stipend of up to $10,000 to cover cost of attendance, including living expenses.  
  • A federal aid need analysis form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be filed for eligibility to be determined.
     


Veterans (Undergraduate & Graduate)

The college is approved by the Illinois State Approving Agency to certify eligible applicants for educational benefits under the Veterans Entitlement Programs: Titles 10 and 38. For further information please click here to visit the VA office web site.

Workforce Investments Act (Title 1B) Program (Undergraduate)

  • Career Link, a division of the United Workforce Development Board (UWDB), entered into an agreement with the State of Illinois to operate the Career Link Program for counties of Fulton, Mason, McLean, and Tazewell. For the counties of Peoria, Woodford, Marshall and Stark, interested students should contact Workforce Network. The College of Nursing signed an agreement for the enrollment of these participants. 
  • Applicant referrals may be eligible for tuition, fees, books and supplies assistance. 
  • Interested students should contact Career Link located in their respective county or call 1-800-662-1882 for more information.  The numbers for Workforce Network are:   Peoria County (309)485-8900, Marshall County (309)246-4120, Stark County (309)286-4191 and Woodford County (309)467-4661.
     


Illinois State Nursing Education Scholarship Program (Undergraduate)

  • The program provides scholarships to qualified individuals pursuing a degree in nursing. 
  • Applicant must be a legal Illinois resident
  • Enrolled in an NLN accredited nursing program
  • Determined to have financial need.  Other criteria may also apply. Applications will be sent to qualifying students.
  • Full-time Students:           Tuition/Fees up to $7,832 per year
                                           Living Stipend: $5,943 per year
  • Part-time Students:           Tuition/Fees up to $6,724 per year

Upward Mobility Program (Undergraduate)

  • The program is offered to State of Illinois employees, covered under the State Personnel Code, for the purpose of pursing a different job title. 
  • Recipients may receive tuition at private colleges and universities up to the highest per credit hour rate charged by public state institutions for no more than two courses in any given enrollment period.
