This course explores the practical skills of managing people to produce superior business results. Best practices in recruiting systems, performance evaluation systems, developing people within the organization, managing a reduction in force, and having difficult conversations with people will be examined further in this course. In addition to understanding the strategic importance of people, this course will provide an understanding and appreciation for the human element as well as diverse cultures within organizations. The overarching goal of this course is to develop thoughtful nurse leaders who understand the importance of people. Prerequisites: 700, 710, & 720. 3 S.H.
